Shennah Joiner

I live in NSW where I run a longarm quilting service from my family’s rural farm. Fabric has always been a part of my life, beginning when I learnt to sew on a treadle machine at my grandmother’s side. As we lived off grid, I used a treadle until I married and even made all my bridesmaids dresses on the treadle. I received an electric machine as a gift around this time and it was like a new world had opened, so many stitch options and settings! This was quickly followed by an overlocker and as the saying goes ‘onward and upward’.
My quilting journey is relatively short, (having purchased my quilting machine after seeing them at a quilt show and thinking ‘what magic is this!’), I have been fortunate enough to help many new quilters who have recently purchased a quilting machine to become familiar and confident with their machines. I love imparting my acquired knowledge on others and feel that if they can come away from a lesson knowing even one thing that will make their quilting process easier and more enjoyable then it has been time well spent.
I strongly believe that anyone can achieve an outcome that they are proud of if they use the right tools and am looking forward to sharing tips and techniques with new quilters, helping them fall in love with their quilting machines and accessories.
