I believe not every quilt needs to be an award winning quilt – all quilts will give warmth, comfort and a little colour to our lives. It really doesn’t matter that its not perfect but rather that you may have learnt a new technique, tried something different – maybe even joined a quilting group and made new friends – this for me is the joy of quilting.

Rachelle started teaching in 2005 and her classes include machine quilting, piecing, machine appliqué, and beginners. She loves to share her passion of all things quilting and help students gain the confidence they need in a fun and achievable way.

I started like most people with the basics early on sewing my quilts together by hand piecing and hand quilting. I then progressed to machined sewing as I realised I wasn’t going to live long enough to make all the wonderful things I wanted to make.  After realising I had found a new love and addiction, I then wondered how I was going to quilt them; hadn’t tried that part of it at that point! So I started taking classes and practiced a lot at home and after 4 years of constant practice I began to quilt my own quilts

Sue de Vanny is a versatile textile artist and accredited judge, renowned for her unique ability to merge traditional and contemporary techniques. Always pushing the boundaries of her craft, Sue remains a prominent figure in the evolving world of art and textiles.

As the founder and owner of her company, Laundry Basket Quilts www.laundrybasketquilts.com, Edyta is proud to carry on her family tradition that fabrics and threads have seamlessly stitched together through the generations. Her true passion and quilter’s spirit shine through her classes, workshops, and presentations. She travels all over the world sharing her experiences and connecting with quilters of all levels through the inspiring stories about the quilts she makes.

Jemima Flendt is the designer behind the Quilt, Sewing and Crochet Patterns at Tied with a Ribbon. Specialising in modern, fun designs that pack a punch and deliver helpful skills and tips so that even a beginner Quilter can feel confident in making.

Each quilt Karla make tells the history of the Grace Company through the use of new techniques and technologies. Karla loves to challenge herself and will pick a pattern or design that is out of her comfort zone to improve her quilting. 

Chris’ work encompasses all styles with an emphasis on a strong colour palette and a preference at the moment for foundation piecing. She is also a great advocate for machine quilting on a domestic machine.

Internationally experienced machine technician on all long arm quilting machine models and makes, with almost 40 years of experience, Hans is passionate about ensuring peak performance of machines.
