Sue de Vanny is a versatile textile artist and accredited judge, renowned for her unique ability to merge traditional and contemporary techniques. Her work spans a wide range of mediums, from intricate textile art and fabric-based creations to watercolour landscapes and portraiture. With a background in photography, dressmaking, and bag crafting, Sue brings a multifaceted approach to her art. She holds a Certificate II in Design from the City and Guilds Institute in London, further solidifying her expertise.

Known for her innovative fabric collage, painting, and embellishing techniques, Sue was recognised as an Aurifil Artisan for three consecutive years (2020–2022). Her work is regularly showcased in exhibitions, where she continues to captivate audiences with her dynamic use of texture, light, and shadow. Always pushing the boundaries of her craft, Sue remains a prominent figure in the evolving world of art and textiles.
